Endowment for Tuition Assistance

In 2002, the Trinity Board of Directors established an endowment that benefits the tuition assistance needs of our students and families. This endowment is designed to payout a tuition assistance award based on a percentage of net income that the endowment has earned over the last calendar year. In the absence of specific donor requirements, net income from the endowment shall be applied as follows:
Assets in Endowment Net Income Payout
Assets less than $50,000 100% reinvested 0% awarded to students
Assets $50,000 - $250,000 75% reinvested 25% awarded to students
Assets $250,000 - $500,000 50% reinvested 50% awarded to students
Assets $500,000 - $750,000 25% reinvested 75% awarded to students
Assets greater than $750,000 10% reinvested 90% awarded to students
This tuition aid award is then given each spring to students/families who have qualified through a financial aid independent review (FAIR) and demonstrate a need for financial aid. Based on assets needed for a payout, Trinity was able to make its first tuition assistance award from this endowment in the spring of 2008. It is the hope of the Trinity Board of Directors that The Trinity Tuition Assistance Endowment will continue to grow through donor gifts and reinvested assets, so it will benefit more and more students each year.

A gift to the Trinity Tuition Assistance Endowment is tax deductible, qualifying through Trinity’s 501 (c)(3) status- #35-2093212. If you would like to give to this endowment or learn more about it and other ways you can benefit Trinity’s students, please contact Trinity’s Director of Development Michael Bridges at 812-524-8547 ext.2221 or 812-343-3352 (cell).

Note: Giving to the Trinity endowment is a gift that never stops giving to students.
